Berliner Wasserbetriebe (BWB), a public law corporation, is the largest company in the field of water supply and wastewater treatment in Germany with a long tradition: BWB provides excellent drinking water for 3.7 million people in Berlin. Process engineering is one major department within BWB. Thus, a safe drinking water supply and ecological wastewater treatment is one of the most important issues of our company. With a high degree of expertise and great responsibility for mankind and the environment, BWB has a long tradition for research and development of innovative technologies in full scale. Project experiences with national and international funding were gained. BWB is not only operating in Berlin but also in the surrounding area. The technical activities of the BWB consist of designing and building the necessary equipments, but also of operating and maintaining these equipments.
